Anonymous Man Becomes Spider-Man Every Night to Feed the Homeless

Every night, one anonymous hero dons a Spider-Man costume and goes out to feed the homeless population of Birmingham, UK. A bartender by day, the 20-year-old transforms into the Birmingham Spiderman once the sun goes down. The kind man, who wishes to keep his identity hidden, buys sandwiches with his own money, changes quietly in an alley, and then walks around the city looking for people on the street who will appreciate some food and a kind word.
Although the nameless do-gooder has been volunteering for years, he only started his nightly rounds as Birmingham Spiderman a few months ago. "Before when I was handing out food, no one would take a second look," he told the Huffington Post. "But when they see Spider-Man handing out the food they come over and ask what I'm doing and are really interested. Most importantly [they] become inspired to get involved themselves."
Although many people in his community and around the world have begun to take notice of Birmingham Spiderman's selfless work, the hero refuses to accept donations. Instead, he urges people to go out and get involved themselves. "I've learned that everyone is the same, we're all part of the human experience," he says. "I believe that we need to look at everyone as humans and help each other the same as we would a close friend."
